Electric Scooter Maintenance: A 10-Minute Routine
You can spot many small problems before they spoil a ride. Use this ten-minute routine as a practical inspection habit, alongside the service schedule in your model manual.
Keep a small inspection kit where you park: the appropriate pressure gauge, a clean cloth and the tools specified in your manual. A consistent location makes checks easier to repeat. Record any recurring adjustment or unfamiliar sound instead of repeatedly tightening parts without identifying why they are moving.
| Time | Check | What a useful check looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Minutes 0–2 | Tires | Inspect tread and sidewalls; check air pressure where applicable. |
| Minutes 2–4 | Brakes | Roll slowly and confirm predictable response. |
| Minutes 4–6 | Frame and folding lock | Confirm secure hardware and investigate unusual movement. |
| Minutes 6–8 | Lights and cables | Test the lights and look for damage or pinching. |
| Minutes 8–10 | Clean and note changes | Wipe away dirt and record anything new. |

Folding hardware
On TOOINS M1, check that the riding latch is fully engaged before moving. A new rattle or visible play deserves attention. Follow the manual for adjustment; a folding mechanism should not be made secure through guesswork.

Seat and storage setup
On TOOINS X1, include the seat mounting and post in your inspection when they are installed. Recheck fasteners after changing the setup. Keep the folding path clear of loose objects and visible cables.

Hydraulic components
On TOOINS X2, look for leaks, damage or a change in brake feel around hydraulic parts. Electronic brake adjustment cannot fix a leaking hydraulic component. Contact support if the response differs from normal.
Use the routine to notice change over time. A lever that gradually travels farther, a tire that repeatedly loses pressure or a new rattle deserves attention even if the scooter still rides. Photograph the affected area and explain when the symptom occurs when asking support for help.
A lightly damp cloth is enough for routine cleaning. Avoid forcing water into the charging port, bearings or electrical parts. If something needs repair, a clear photo and description of when it happens will help us identify the next step.
Keep the model manual accessible on your phone. Check tires and brake response before each ride even when the longer routine is not due.
